The Lincoln Tango Group is associated with the Northern Tango Society,
Our aim is to help dancers to experience the beauty and purity of the authentic Argentine Tango, a passionate and sensual dance ( Carole Vincent-Wright, Northern tango)We have Argentinean teachers at least twice a month (Thursdays and Sundays).Unbelievably, the price that you pay per session, is only £6 per person!
We hold practicas in between, which as the name suggests, is time set aside to practice new steps and techniques, with guest teachers invited for master classes and performances.Tea and supper dances are held at regular intervals.We are a non profit making cultural group run on a volunteer basis with all revenue used for dance activities.We welcome both new and experienced dancers to our meetings and encourage sharing of knowledge and ideas.
The basic steps of tango are simple, if you can walk you can tango. But be aware, tango is exciting and addictive.
